RISK

DYNAMIC

Cleveland, Ohio is not located near any active plate boundaries so it reduces the risk of geological hazards. But Cleveland still experiences moderate earthquakes. No volcanoes are nearby. Lake Erie is on the shore which brings in a large body of water which can bring some potential harm. So overall Cleveland is not prone to hazards but to plan for these events some evacuation plans and some modifications to my building. I did mention previously a drain system, the only thing I would add is visible floor plans with forms of evacuation since we don't face many risks. Also adding building insurance since I have not mentioned that before. The last major earthquake in Northeast Ohio was in 1987 (5.0).

Cleveland ecoregion is described as flat and has landscapes. Its region is important fro farming since it has flat land and small hills. The adaptations of animals and plants are adapted to the seasonal changes and fertile soils. Cleveland faces cold winters and hot summers. Cleveland has numerous amount of invasive plants, one that I am looking into is Norway Maple, which is native to Europe and had been introduced to North America as a tree. The adaptations of the Norway Maple is that it is well adaptive and can thrive in a variety of soils due to the similarity in climate of Europe. Some problems it faces are the shallow roots and some environmental difficulties such as frost damage, and pollution. To control it we have two options, the actual removal or the use of herbicides to kill it. It has. These species harm the Park District's biological integrity, affecting plant and animal diversity. It has several advantages over native plants such as rapid growth, leafing out in the spring by capturing sunlight, high shade tolerance, adaption, reproduction by seeds spread by wind, and so on.
